To complete your playground, you need to consider if safety surfacing is required. When it is possible for a child to fall 600mm or more from any piece of equipment then a safety surface must be provided. (unless the equipment is on grass and is under 1000mm high).

In addition to the safety aspects, surfacing can add to the play value of your playground with built in graphics and allow access to areas that may become muddy. There are several types of safety surfaces available, some more expensive than others and some more suited to specific environments: Whether natural materials such as bark, grass or sand are required as impact absorbing surfacing for a play area or a colour co-ordinated creatively designed rubber safety surfacing with a special theme, Play and Sports caters for them all. From versatile, eco-friendly rubberised playground surfacing right through to colourful, bespoke ground graphics and everything in between. All Certified to EN1177
